In this picture i used free hand movement with my pencil in order to get the proportion of my sketch accurate, i used light stroaks in order to asure that i put the lines in the right place . however i then used harder lines to crisp the sketch and make it stand out. I think i captured the weight of the model in my sketch well by using these methods and by using a range of tones in my shading to make the sketch jump out at the viewer. If i could improve something it would be to add more detail on the faces of my model as i left them blank.
in the sketch i think that i used shading well in order to give it a 3D effect, the body, arms and legs are all in proportion which is what i was aiming for to give it a realistic look. I think that you can see the weight in the model by slouching his arm down . I am also pleased with how the fur come out on the monkey sketch.
I did some other quick sketches of various other animals . i was pleased with these because i managed to get them down onb paper quickly and accuratly by using light free pencil movements.
`this week was more about composition so we had to do as many interesting comopositions as we could. Thes particular compositions i think work realy well because all the objects draw the viewers eyes to a main focal point by using the objects and the cloth on the baise . this is a high level of composition. If i could improve something it would be to take more time on them and include more detail.
In these sketches we where asked to draw a constantly moving model. I found this hard to do as i couldnt concentrate on both the drawing and the models movement very well. However i think this helped me in the long run because it fourced me to speed up my sketching and therefor made me be more free with my movements with my pencil on the page. This is good because it means that i could get the basic structure of a drawing down and can then spend more time on the details.
In this sketch i think that my use of measuring helped alot due to the fact that it is a building and therefor needs too be accurate. I like the small details included in it and like the 3D feel you get from it. however, if i had used a softer pencil to draw the darker lines to give it a crisp edge and make it stand out. I could have also improved by adding more shading to the sketch.

muscles
In this sketch the definition in the muscles is realy good , the weight in the model can be seen in the shoulders slouching .Also in the hips this is good because this particular pose shows off the models muscles realy well.
if i could improve anything in the sketch it would be using more fine pencil lines in order to get the position of my model easier instead of using hard lines and having to erase the lines. however i would have used harder lines on the model after i had got the position to make it stand out more . I would have also added more tone to the muscles in order to realy make them stand out. There is some tone added to the muscle which i am proud of, and example of this is on the chest where you can clearly see the muscles contracting creating those lines. The stomach and legs also show a good level of muscle definition. Finaly i think that the proportion of this sketch is very good i achieved this by being very free with my pencil movements in the first stages of the sketch.
